The Design Team at Marley Spoon is young and growing, with a mission to design the best home-cooking experience for our customers. We’re looking for an exceptional Senior UI/UX Designer who will help steer the direction of our product and experience and inspire colleagues with forward-thinking strategic vision across our physical and digital experience.
What you’ll do
Take the lead on solving complex problems and creating exceptional experiences for Marley Spoon brands across platforms and markets.
Work on UX projects from start to finish– collaborate with stakeholders around the globe, frame problems, translate insights, set the direction and deliver design with precision.
Prepare research and testing, map customer journeys, develop service blueprints, design desirable and feasible solutions and make opportunities tangible for multiple audiences.
Communicate your design vision clearly in the form of high-fidelity compositions, wireframes, prototypes, user flows and other appropriate methods that cater to the needs of the project.
Be creatively responsible for your projects and work closely with product managers, stakeholders and the development team to ensure solutions are realised and delivered to the highest quality.
Support and guide other Design team members in thinking holistically and working seamlessly between the physical and digital experience.
Be an active member of the Design team — share your expertise with your colleagues, offer constructive critique at design reviews and proactively contribute to the design culture within the wider company.
Who we believe you are to excel in this role
A skilled UI/UX designer with 5+ years of professional experience with tackling complex user experience design problems and visual design.
A designer with a holistic, methodical, human-centered approach to product and service design; from research and insight generation to concept to deliverable.
A storyteller confident in engaging in forward-thinking strategy and vision.
A strong facilitator and presenter, with the ability to present design decisions clearly and push to make change happen.
Curious, explorative and open to trying new ways of working and learning.
Someone with a proactive, here-to-help attitude and believes in the value of interdisciplinary collaboration.
Undergraduate degree in Interaction Design, Interface Design, Human Computer Interaction, Service Design, (Graphic) Design with emphasis on UX; Master graduates preferred.
A pro at Adobe Suite, Sketch, Zeplin and Keynote.
[Bonus] Experienced with preparing and facilitating workshops.
[Bonus] Experience with different types of user research and conducting exploratory research on ambiguous problem areas.
